Chowkidar

How Tajop keeps you safe

Chowkidar is Tajop's night watchman: checks on every organiser and every event, and people who make the final calls.

How Chowkidar works

Every event is checked when it's published and whenever it changes. Low-risk events go live at once; others wait for a person on our team; some are blocked with a reason the organiser can fix.

A new organiser's first paid event is always checked by a person.

Organisers earn trust in levels. New organisers can only sell a small number of tickets until they verify their phone and then their ID.

What Tajop checks

  • The organiser's email, and their phone through WhatsApp.
  • Their ID or business registration, checked by a person, for higher levels.
  • That the payment account title matches the verified name.
  • Every transaction ID, so the same payment can't be used twice.
  • Event details against famous names, reused posters and past reports.
  • Real door scans and "Did you get in?" answers, which build the public track record.

What Tajop can't check

Tajop never holds your money, so we can't refund it ourselves or reverse a bank transfer.

We can't promise an event will happen or will be good. The track record, the verification badge and the caution banner on new organisers help you judge.

We don't see inside your banking app. Always check the account title it shows before you confirm a transfer.

Pay only to the account shown

Checkout shows exactly one account to pay, with its title. If anyone asks you to pay a different account, in a DM, on WhatsApp or in cash before the event, don't. Report it instead.

How to report a problem

Use "Something wrong?" on any event page, organiser page or order. Pick a reason and add what happened.

Reports from ticket holders count most. Urgent reports reach a person quickly, and you'll hear what we decide.

If an event looks like a scam and it's selling, we can pause its sales straight away while we check.

If you've been scammed

  • Call your bank or wallet helpline at once and ask them to hold or recall the transfer. Speed matters.
  • Keep your receipt, the transaction ID, the event link and screenshots of any messages.
  • File a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) through its official website or nearest office.
  • Report it on Tajop too. We can give you a printable record of the payment instructions you were shown, to support your complaint.

Tajop shares an organiser's identity records with investigators only through a proper legal request.

Your details

Organisers see the name and email on your order so they can let you in and contact you about their event. They never see your sign-in details. Read the Privacy page for the full picture.
